Billy Bishop Obituary

Billy Joe Bishop passed away on August 17, 2019 at Rhea Medical Center.

Billy was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and of the Baptist faith. He attended Rhea County High School. He liked to work puzzle books and loved the outdoors and nature.

He is preceded in death by parents, James Bishop and Beulah Griffin Bishop; brothers, Jimmy and Jessie Bishop; sisters, Maggie Nevels, Peggy Thomas, Dorothy Reed, and Kathy Higginbottom.

He is survived by sisters, Geneva Webb, Stella Hughes, and Alice Hernandez, all of Dayton, TN; brothers, Carl Bishop, Ray Bishop, and Bobby Bishop, all of Dayton, TN; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral home with Rev. Brian Conley officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 21, 2019 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Interment will be at Spence Cemetery.
