Billy "Bill" Burnett Obituary

Billy Gene Burnett of Pikeville, TN passed away September 02, 2019.

Bill was a longtime resident of Rhea County before moving to Pikeville and was a member of Summer City Baptist Church. He retired from Dupont after 33 years. He was a mechanic and loved working on fast cars, especially big block Chevys. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing and he loved the Lord with all his heart. His best accomplishment was loving his family until his last breath.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Dean Burnett and Anna Ruth Colbaugh Burnett; brother, Wayne Burnett and sister, Peggy Ford.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Vivian Burnett of Pikeville, TN; daughter Pam (Jeff) Gann; sons, Greg (Suzie) Burnett, Jeff Burnett, Mark (Sandy) Burnett; brother, Jesse Burnett; sister, Bertie Branum; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many, many friends of the family.

Service will be Thursday, September 05, 2019 at 5:00 pm in the Chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald and Rev. Jeff Swafford officiating. Interment will follow at Shaver Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, September 04, 2019 from 4:00-9:00pm and Thursday, September 05, 2019 from 3:00-5:00pm.
