Charles Ray Morgan

Charles Ray Morgan passed away April, 15, 2019 at his home in Dayton, TN.

Charles was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and of the Church of God faith. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member and past Commander of the American Legion Post 100. He was a cross country truck driver for years and retired from Watkins Motor Lines. He loved spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gaither and Mattie Youther Morgan; brothers, James, Paul, Roy, Junior and Ed Morgan and sisters, Mattie Harris and Louise Atkins.

He is survived by his wife, Anka Morgan of Dayton, TN; children, Sabina Morgan, Stephan (Libby) Morgan both of Dayton, TN, Anthony (Annette) Morgan of Soddy Daisy, TN; brother, Johnny (Wilma) Morgan of Dayton, TN; sister, Bertlee (Earl) Lefew of Dayton, TN; grandchildren, Brandi Morgan, Joshua Morgan, Amanda Morgan (Keith) Booker of Chattanooga, TN; great grandson, Canaon Mills and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will follow at Cove Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from 4:00-8:00pm.
