Cordell Gibson Obituary

Cordell L. Gibson of Dayton, TN passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Hospice of Chattanooga.

Cordell served in the Army during the Korean War and was retired from General Motors. He was a Christian and will be missed by all who know him.

He is preceded in death by his lovely wife of 57 years, Mary Ellen Byerley Gibson; his parents, Herbert and Gladys Price Gibson; brother, Sonny Gibson, and sisters, Faye Gibson and Elizabeth Thomas.

He is survived by three daughters, Karen Gibson, Gwen Sanford, and Patricia Meyer (Denny); three grandchildren, Katrina Sanford Hileman (Steven), Shane Sanford, Heather Hill (Randy) and two great grandchildren, Heath and Lydia Hileman.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 2:30pm at Rhea Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 12:00-2:00pm at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home.
