Denzel C. Dyer of Dayton, TN passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mr. Dyer was born on June 19, 1941 to the late Maggie Mae Allen and Cicero D. Dyer. The happiest day of his life was when he married Lillie M. Harvey, April 18, 1959. They were married for 54 years, until her death. Mr. Dyer was an avid gardener, but his passion was selling his produce at the Courthouse and Farmers Market.
He is preceded by an infant son, Dennis Dyer; four brothers, Evertt , Ralph, Norman, and Raymond Dyer and one sister, Edith Pedigo.
He is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Larry) Pritchett of Evensville, Tn.; two sons, Michael (Sharon) Dyer and Steven Dyer both of Dayton; five grandsons, Brandon and Dylan Pritchett, Zachery, Cody, and Cord, Dyer.; two sisters, Ruby Meadors and Oleeta Dowden; one brother, Kenneth Dyer all of Dayton.
The Family expresses a heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff of hospice of Chattanooga.
Funeral services will be Sunday, November 4th 2018 in the Chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home at 2:00pm with Rev. Rusty Revis and Speaker; Kevin Tanzer officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1-8 P.M at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Spivey Cemetery.
