Dion "Sonny" Yeargan Obituary

Dion “Sonny” William Yeargan, 79 of Pikeville, TN passed away July 04, 2019 at Hospice of Chattanooga Care Center.

Sonny, a native of Michigan, was a longtime resident of Pikeville and of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the US Army and he worked 35 years in construction. He enjoyed hayrides and outings and he loved TN football and his grandchildren. He loved his family and always took care of them.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Ruby Farmer Yeargan and brother, Floyd Yeargan.

He is survived by his wife, Oma Yeargan of Pikeville, TN; children, Jeff (Tracy) Yeargan of Dayton, TN, Greg (Jenn) Yeargan of Pikeville, TN, Mark (Angie) Yeargan of Beaufont, S.C., Chris (Mandy) Yeargan of Pikeville, TN; God-daughter, Heather Jewell of Dayton, TN; grandchildren, Aaron Yeargan, Brittney Yeargan, Lexie Yeargan Waldron, Amber Standifer, Brad Tallent, Haley Rymer, Julie Yeargan, Cain Beavers, Shelby Beavers, Josh Beavers, Madison Beavers; 10 great grandchildren, 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

Service will be Sunday, July 07, 2019 at 3:00pm in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Rev Gary Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Summer City Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Sunday, July 07, 2019 from 12:00-3:00pm.
