Ella Mae (Marler) Cornett

Ella Mae Cornett, 87, passed away at her home on October 13, 2019.

Ella was a lifelong resident of Rhea County. She was born on April 13, 1932 to the late Willie Guy and Etta (Taylor) Marler. She was a great wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked hard as a farmer’s daughter and helped her husband in his garage at night. She also helped him on the farm when he started to farm.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leslie L (Buddy) Cornett; grandsons, Jody Roberts, Brian Morgan; brothers, Thurman, Virgil, and Norman Marler; sisters, Wilma Cunningham and Alice Marler all of Dayton, TN.

She is survived by her children Leslie C (Janice) Cornett, Tony Louis (Alma) Cornett of Dayton, TN, Willie (Ruth) Cornett of Chattanooga, TN; daughters Nancy (Steve) Roberts and Vicky Lynn (Glenn) Myers both of Dayton, TN; brother Malcolm (Wanda) Marler; sister Ann Beltz both of Dayton, TN; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Rigsby Cemetery in Bledsoe County, TN.
