Ernest "Morris" Dotson Obituary

Ernest George “Morris” Dotson of Dayton, TN passed away November 30, 2018 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN.

Morris was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and of the Baptist faith. His favorite things were hunting, fishing, raising chickens, taking road trips and spending time with his family and loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack Dotson and Bessie Marie Stewart Dotson; wife, June Elizabeth Dotson and son, Barry Allen Dotson.

He is survived by his children, Toni Cloutier, Sherry Dotson both of Dayton, TN, Ronald (Debbie) Dotson of Indianapolis, IN, Rachel (Johnny) Swafford of Pikeville, TN; brothers, Wesley, Wendall and Gary “Hoppy” Dotson; sisters, Nonivee Wooden, Winona Hall, Eileen McMillan, Yvonne Swafford, Lou Morgan, Faye Dotson; 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be Wednesday, December 05, 2018 at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Pastor Carl Hunsucker officiating.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 04, 2018 from 4:00-8:00pm.

Interment will be at Rhea Memory Gardens.
