George 'Bud' Parrott Obituary

George ’Bud’ Edwin Parrott of Dayton, TN passed away November 22, 2018 at Rhea Medical Center.

Bud was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and a member of Sale Creek Church of God. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving in Korea. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and attended ham shoots. He was an active supporter of veterans and the senior citizens group. He enjoyed bingo at Life Care Center, going to church and serving the Lord.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Henry Parrott and Lucille Penny Parrott; wife, Margie Mae Parrott; brothers, Gene Parrott, Billy Parrott and an infant sister.

He is survived by his children, Teresa Sneed of Dayton, TN, Colette Haddix of Paris, IL, Daphne (Jeff) Hickman, Samantha (Tommy) Tilley , of Dayton, TN Ethan (Frankie) Parrott of Harrison, TN, Tonya (Chris) Smith of Dayton, TN; brother, Roy Parrott of Chattanooga, TN; 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be Monday, November 26, 2018 at 11:00 am at Sale Creek Church of God with Rev. Terry Bolton officiating.

The family will receive friends Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 5-7pm at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with military honors.
