Glenn R. Morgan of Dayton passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Life Care Center of Rhea County.
Glenn was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and a member of Spivey Methodist Church in Dayton. He worked many years as an auto mechanic at his own shop and at Charlie Walters Ford in Dayton. He served as a City of Dayton police officer and a Rhea County Constable. He also farmed and was an over-the-road truck driver.
He is preceded in death by his parents Alfred John Morgan and Ella Perry Morgan; wife, Carolyn Tennyson Morgan; brothers, Authur (Vergie) & Eschol (Gladys) Morgan of Sale Creek; sisters, Bessie (Anderson) Morgan & Joyce (Jim) Wims of Dayton.
He is survived by his daughter, Beverly (James) Switter, Dayton; Special Friend, Lola Hamby, Dayton; son, Wayne Morgan, Philippines; granddaughter, Angel Landon Eglin, Kingston; great-granddaughter, Haley Landon, Kingston; sister, Pat Gravett, Dandridge; brothers, Louis (Avis) Morgan & A.J. (Jean) Morgan, Dayton and Warner (Maudine) Morgan Williston, FL.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June, 20, 2018 at the Chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Ewing officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June, 20, 2018 from 10:00-12:00.
Burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery.
