Helen Marie Montgomery, age 80, of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at her residence.
Helen was a life-long resident of Rhea County and was born in Dayton, Tennessee on July 3, 1938 and attended Sale Creek Church of God. She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Cora Hancock, husband, Billy Gene Montgomery, two daughters, Patricia Travis and Teresa Fitzgerald, two brothers, Junior and Charles Hancock, three sisters, Betty Keltch, Joby Morgan and Judy Kaylor.
Survivors include her daughters, Debbie (Buck) Hoffman and Virginia Johnson, all of Dayton, two brothers, Bobby Dean (Laura) Hancock, of Sale Creek and Billy Ray (Brenda) Hancock, of Graysville and one sister, Gladys (Rick) Clark, of Pikeville, Tennessee, one brother-in-law, Bo Kaylor, of Dayton, seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 in the chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Bolton officiating. Interment will follow at Rigsby Cemetery, Pikeville, Tennessee.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 8:00 PM on Monday, April 29, 2019.
