Jessica Ward Obituary

On Friday, September 27, 2019, Jessica (Jessie) Ann Ward of Spring City, Tennessee, passed away at age 54. Jessie was a loving wife and mother of four children, and a longtime resident of Rhea County.

Jessie was born on September 17, 1965 in Battle Creek, Michigan. On December 15, 1985, she married Edgar (Eddie) Lee Ward. They raised two sons, Eddie and Donnie, and two daughters, Alessia and Becky.

Jessie, a very devoted grandmother, loved spending time with and taking care of her grandchildren, loved horses, and enjoyed crafting.

Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, David and Marcella (Lucas) Hughes, and her brother, Rainney Hughes.

She is survived by her husband, Edgar (Eddie) Lee Ward, of Spring City; children, Alessia Marie Strickland ( husband Justin) of Rockwood, TN, Edgar (Eddie) Lee Ward, Jr. (wife Nina) of Spring City, TN, Donald (Donnie) Lee Ward (wife Jennifer) of Spring City, TN, and Rebecca (Becky) Noel Rogers of Spring City, TN; brother David Hughes of Florida; sister Carolyn Buczek of Lebanon, TN; five grandchildren, Calysta Ward, Eddie Lee Ward, and DaniRay Ward (parents Eddie Jr. and Nina), and Donnie Lee Ward, and Waylon Ward (parents Donnie and Jennifer); and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jessie will be cremated, and memorial services will be held Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 10:00 AM EST at the home of Eddie and Jessie, located at 1175 Lakewood Village Road, Spring City, TN with the officiating minister to be announced later.
