Jo was a longtime resident of Rhea County, a member of the Dayton First Baptist Church, where she was in the joyful helper Sunday School Class, she was a devoted Pastors wife and involved in the church literacy missions, and a member of the W.M.U. Her hobbies were doing needle point and embroidering, she was an avid reader.
Jo is preceded in death by her parents, Ted Dick and Pauline Bradley Dick. her husband, Dr. Bob W. Brackney, one brother; Bill Dick, a grandson; Michael Lynn Conver.
Surviving are three children; Deborah (Ray) Talley of Dayton, Patti (Ron) VanTreuren of Goslen, Kentucky. Tim (Donna) Brackney of Savannah, Georgia. One brother; Ralph R. Dick of Albuquerque, New Mexico. eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday August 20, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral home with Rev. Milton Knox officiating. Entombment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens Hixson, Tn.
Visitation is Monday August 20, 2018 from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
