Lee Hudson Obituary

Lee Roy Hudson passed away May 05, 2019 at his home in Dayton, TN.

Lee Roy was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and a Deacon of Ogden Baptist Church.

He spent his adult life farming and raising cattle on Dayton Mountain. He enjoyed spending time with his family, turkey hunting, fishing and his dog BJ.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph M. Hudson and Bernice Sullivan Hudson; wife, Betty Jean Hudson; sister, Virginia Shaver and grandson, Thomas Varney.

He is survived by his daughters, Vickey (Thomas) Varney of Littleton Colorado and Rebecca (Jay) Roberson of Dayton, TN; grandchildren, Justin Roberson, Tiffany Hoose, Matthew, Stephen and Collin Varney; 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to his caregiver, Charlene Tipton, Amedesis Hospice and special friends in his community.

Service will be Tuesday, May 07, 2019 at 5:00pm in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Jewell officiating. Interment will follow at Ogden Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, May 07, 2019 from 3:00-5:00pm.
