Lenora Gay Brooks, 77, of Dayton, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga.
Lenora was a life-long resident of Rhea County and was born on August 22, 1941 to the late John and Affie Gravett. She was member of Garrison Baptist Church and was attending Spivey Memorial United Methodist Church in Dayton. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, gardening, working puzzles, taking care of others and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Gene Brooks, four sisters, four brothers and a brother-in-law, Dwight Brooks.
Survivors include her daughters, Beverly Fuller, Marlene Kretzer and Debbie (Carl) Colbaugh, all of Dayton, two brothers, Frankie Gravett and Paul (Lela) Gravett, of Dayton, three grandchildren, Erica Fuller (Brian “George” Moore), Will (Tiffany) Colbaugh and Caleb Kretzer, one great-grandchild on the way, brothers and sisters-in-law, Carroll (Carol) Brooks, Larry Brooks, Linda Brooks, Dean (Mike) Crawley and Judy Brooks, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 in the chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Ewing officiating. Interment will follow at Rhea Memory Gardens, Dayton.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, January 28, 2019.
