Leonard Beecher Weller of Dayton, TN passed away at his home Thursday, June 28, 2018.
Beecher was a lifelong resident of Rhea County. He was affiliated with the Dayton Community Chapel and the Church of God Seventy Day at New Harmony. He was very active in church. He was a veteran of the US Army and received a purple heart while in service. He was a member of the DAV and American Legion. He was a mechanic and he loved gardening and birds.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Pearl Dewey Weller and Lefa Taylor Weller and one sister, Barbara Cranfill.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Weller, Dayton, TN; children, Donna (Sam) Boyd, Birchwood, TN, Duane Weller, Dayton and Doug (April) Weller, Dayton, TN; brother, Pete Weller, Dayton, TN; sisters, Becky Mize, London, KY, Helen Cranfill, Dayton, TN; 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, several step- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be Sunday, July 1, 2018 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with speakers Don Iles and Kevin Worland.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 5:00-9:00pm.
Burial will be in Ogden Cemetery with military honors.
