Norman Everett Obituary

Norman Ray Everett, a lifelong resident of the Sale Creek community, died peacefully at home surrounded by his beloved family at the age of 76, Wednesday, August 28th, 2019. Norman served honorably in the United States Navy as an aircraft mechanic. He later retired from Dupont of Chattanooga. For many years, Norman was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Sale Creek. He also volunteered as a Shriner, and faithfully served for 25+ years in the Sale Creek Masonic Lodge #280 and was raised to the degree of Master Mason. Norman is preceded by his parents, JB and Ella Everett of Sale Creek. He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 53 years, Shirley (Wilson) Everett; caring daughters Mechelle Renea Flowers (and husband Mike) and Sherry Irene Moore (and husband Keith); loving sister Marcenia Gay Sisson and nephew Scott Hamby; grandsons Phillip Austin Everett Franklin, William Daniel Moore and Michael Everett Moore; four step-grandsons, Brady Flowers, Stephen Flowers, Marcus Flowers and Clinton Flowers; and step-granddaughter, Katelyn Flowers.

Visitation will be held this Saturday, August 31st, 2019, at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home in Dayton, Tn. from 5pm to 8pm and will include a Masonic Ceremony starting at 7pm.  Services will be held Sunday, September 1st, 2019, at 2pm in the Chapel at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home and officiated by Rev. Tommy Lee Wilson of Dayton. Norman will afterwards be taken to Mt. Vernon Baptist Church to be laid to rest peacefully and honorably with a U.S. Military Ceremony at the burial site.
