Olen Davis Obituary

Olen Huey Davis, 98, of Dayton, TN passed away December 09, 2018 at Rhea Medical Center.

Olen was a resident of Rhea County most of his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked for U.S. Postal Service as a rural carrier. He liked working on lawn mowers, growing vegetables and muscadines and raising cattle.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Houston Davis and Artie Lee Ezell Davis; wives, Virginia Barns Davis and Jane Daniel Davis; brothers, George, Jack and Gene Davis; sisters, Thelma Burdette, Marietta Blevins and Leona Masterson and daughter, Wanda Gail Davis.

He is survived by his son, Jerry Olin (Betty) Davis; brother, Roy (Jannell) Davis; grandchildren, Stephanie Davis of Chattanooga, TN, Benjamin Davis of Dayton, TN, Jacob (Brandi) Davis of Cairo, Egypt, Andrea (Matt) Thompson of Dayton, TN and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 4:00-8:00pm.

There will be no service.

In Lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
