Opal Travis Obituary

Opal Jean Travis passed away April 24, 2019 at her home in Dayton, TN.

Opal was a longtime resident of Rhea County and of the Baptist faith.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Tom Shipp and Ada Louise Teems Shipp; husband, Claude “Rabbit” Travis and sister, Virginia Jo Proctor.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Dyer of Dayton, TN, 4 grandchildren, Shaun and Nikki Tucker, Cord and Angela Dyer all of Dayton TN; 4 great grandchildren, Kelbie, Justin, Garrett and Arianna and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 3:00pm in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will follow at Spence Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 11:00am -3:00pm.
