Rodney Marler Obituary

Rodney Marler of Dayton, TN passed away November 14, 2019.

Rodney was a longtime resident of Rhea County and a member of Old Washington Baptist Church. He was a retired police officer with Hamilton County Sherriff Department. He also served as an officer for the City of Red Bank and the City of Dayton. He served in law enforcement for over 30 years. Rodney enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy R. Marler and sister, Jennifer Renee Marler.

He is survived by his mother, Helen Garrison of Dayton, TN; sister, Roxanne (Tony) Thompson of Pikeville, TN; nieces, Lindsay Marler, Kelsie (Chris) Miller; great niece, Madison Johnson; great nephews, Bryston Smith, Luca Miller and Bryson Miller.

Service will be Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Rusty Revis officiating.

Family will receive friends Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 11:00am-3:00pm.

Interment will be at Spence Cemetery.
