Shirley Mitts Obituary

Shirley Ann Mitts of Dayton TN passed away October 27, 2019.

Shirley was a longtime resident of Rhea County and of the Baptist faith. She attended Morgan Springs Baptist Church and was employed at Sam’s Manufacturing Co. for many years. She enjoyed knitting and loved 50’s and 60’s music and square dancing.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl William Yingst and Hazel Kubias Yingst; husband, Harold Edward Mitts and brother, Gerald Yingst.

She is survived by her children, Cheri Cotner Dodson of Evensville, TN and John Mitts of Decatur, TN; grandchildren, Troy, Courtney and Annah Dotson and great grandchildren, William, Chase and Layla Dodson.

There will be no services.
