Thomas Alan Stone, 61, left this world on November 27th at his home in Nashville, TN to be with his Lord.
Tommy loved life and giving and helping others. He went to work at the age of 13 and worked his whole life until sickness prevented him from continuing, but when God called him into missionary work, he answered. He helped in homeless shelters and feeding the less fortunate. He continued with many trips to Honduras, building churches and helping them to benefit in their lives. He made so many friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Stone; brothers, Glen Stone and Roger Stone and grandparents James and Edith Boston.
He is survived by his mother, Norma Chambers of Dayton, TN; daughters, Melissa (Dustin) Whiteside and Chantale (Wes) Bailey of Soddy Daisy, TN; best friend and wife, Roma Stone of Mentone, AL; sisters, Linda (Jeff) Flint of Nashville, TN, Susan (Jerry) Oldham of Dayton, TN; brothers, Jimmy (Christy) Stone, Benji Stone, Steven (Kim) Brock all of Dayton, TN, Scott (Christina) Stone of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Hannah, Melody, Mercedes, Scarlett and Wrenley of Soddy Daisy, TN and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be Saturday, December 01, 2018 at 2:30pm in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Phillips officiating.
Family will receive friends Saturday, December 01, 2018 from 12:00-2:30pm.
