ALMA RUTH (DOUGLAS) WILKEY

Alma Ruth Wilkey, age 85 of Soddy Daisy, passed away Saturday, Feb, 17, 2024 at CHI Memorial Hospital in Hixson, Tenn. She was a longtime resident of Rhea Co., and worked as a customer service representative at Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She was of the Church of God faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Virgil and Edith Douglas; a son, Randy Duane Wilkey and two sisters, Barbara Morgan and Mary Thompson. Survivors include daughter, Melanie Wilkey (David) Capps of Soddy Daisy; two sisters, Doris Douglas (Kenny Clark) Dayton, TN and Myra (Bill) Martin of Raleigh, NC; two grandchildren Ryan (Crystal) Wilkey and Crystal (Ian) Thiessen; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Alma was a God-fearing woman. She loved her family, playing softball, and loved arts and crafts.

Visitation is from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, on Tuesday, February 20th at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with funeral following in the Funeral Home Chapel, at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Rhea Memory Gardens.
