Alma Ruth (Bandy) Crane

Alma Ruth Crane, age 100, peacefully entered her Heavenly home, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering faith, kindness, service, and love that will continue to inspire many
generations.
 
She was preceded in death by the love of her life and devoted husband of 67 years, Virgil Granville Crane. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and serving others, creating a legacy that will be cherished for years to come.
 
Ruth is lovingly survived by her daughter, Dianne (Bob) Tumlin, and her son, Mike Crane. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Lora (Greg) Ennis, Jenna (Lester) Hampton, and Josh Crane. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Tre Ennis and Jackson Norwood, who brought her tremendous joy.
 
In addition, Ruth was deeply loved and cared for by Tracy (Rebecca) Tumlin, Dennis (Angela) Tumlin, Becki Tumlin, and Jeremy (Leila) Tumlin, along with their children, Bobby Tumlin (deceased), Dakota Tumlin, Kaylee Malone, Ty Arrington, Bailey (Cole) McClellan, Chloe (Evan) Crabtree, Sadie Belle Tumlin, Tucker Crane (deceased), Tanner Crane and Weslee Malone held a special place in her heart, and she treasured every moment spent with her family.
 
The Crane family would also like to express their heartfelt gratitude to her faithful caregiver, Dana Hickey, whose compassion, dedication, and loving care brought comfort and dignity to Ruth in her later years. Dana will forever hold a special place in the hearts of the Crane family and will always be remembered as a cherished part of Ruth's journey.
 
A woman of deep and abiding faith, Ruth was of the Protestant faith and was often recognized as the oldest and one of the most faithful members of Graysville Church of God. Her steadfast devotion to the Lord and her church family was evident throughout her life. She faithfully attended services whenever she was able and served as an example of Christian love, humility, and perseverance.
 
Ruth dedicated many years of her professional life to serving her community. She worked for FB Bank, where she was known for her integrity and dedication, and continued those attributes as a bookkeeper at Rhea Central. Later in life, her greatest joy was found in being a homemaker and showing her entire family how to love and care for others.
 
Beyond her career, Ruth was actively involved in numerous community and civic organizations throughout Rhea County. She believed in giving back, helping others, and making her community a better place. Her servant's heart, gentle spirit, and willingness to lend a helping hand touched countless lives.
 
Outside of her work and church, Ruth found great joy in life's simple pleasures. She was a devoted Atlanta Braves fan who rarely missed cheering on her team. More than anything, she cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family. Whether gathered around the table sharing stories, celebrating holidays, or simply enjoying each other's company, those moments were among her greatest treasures.
 
Those who know Ruth will remember her as a gracious, compassionate, and selfless woman whose greatest joy came from her faith, her family, and caring for those around her. She possessed quiet strength, a generous heart, and a smile that could make anyone feel welcome. Her wisdom, grace, and unconditional love will be deeply missed but forever treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
 
Though her earthly journey has come to an end, the example she set through a century of faith, love, and service will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, church family, and community. There is no doubt she has heard the words, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."
 
The family rejoices in knowing that Ruth has been reunited with her beloved Virgil.
