Alvin Ray Patton passed away on November 8, 2020 at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and of the Baptist faith. He was employed at Lazy Boy for 40 years as a fork lift operator. Ray loved hunting and fishing and spending time with loved ones.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents James and Bessie Patton.
He is survived by his wife Julia Patton and his children Jessica (Joe) Brown of Dayton, Jason Patton of Evensville and Leann (Cody) Smith of Dayton; siblings, Rachel (Jeremy) Conner of Dayton, Frank (Peggy) Patton of Evensville, Tim (Lisa) Patton of Dayton, Richard (Pat) Patton of Dayton and Donnie (Carrie) Harris of Wolf Creek. Grandchildren include Rylee Jo Brown, Jackson Smith, Kennedy Smith, Lincoln Smith and Liberty Smith. Mother-in-law Ruby Ezell, father-in-law Dee Gunter. Many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday November 9, 2020 from 4-8 PM. at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Tuesday November 10, 2020 at 1 pm in the chapel with the Rev. David Haynes officiating. Burial will be at Spence Cemetery.
