Tony Ramsey, 58, passed away in his home on January 24, 2021. He was the son of the late Rev. Jake and Evangeline Ramsey. Tony was a loving husband, father, brother, friend and caregiver to those in need. He will be greatly missed in this life but has been gladly and happily welcomed to his heavenly home by his daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Ramsey, his parents, his father-in-law, Rev. John Neese, his grandparents and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
In June 1989 he married Connie Louise Neese Ramsey. On February 12, 1996 Benjamin Micah was born into their lives. Benjamin was the delight and joy of his father’s life. From 2001-2009 he pastored churches in southwest VA. In 2009 when he brought his family home from that mission he then found a new mission in caring for the disabled and developmentally challenged.
Surviving and left to enjoy sweet memories is his wife of 31 years, Connie Louise Neese Ramsey of Dayton, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Benjamin and Kayla Ramsey of Dayton, TN; his sister, Phyllis (Boo) Hankins of Chuckey, TN; brothers, Scott (Debbie) Ramsey of Knoxville, TN and Alan (Theta) Ramsey of Laurel, MD; nieces and nephews, Rachel, Bethany, Lexine, Jacob and Christopher; mother-in-law, Louise Neese and his very special friends, the Woodruff family of Apison, TN.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 12:00-2:00pm at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home.
Service will follow at 2:00pm with Rev. Bill Ewing and Rev. Buford "Boo" Hankins officiating and a tribute by Mr. Taylor Woodruff.
Interment will be at Spivey Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers an account has been set up at First Bank on Market St. to assist the family in recovering from the loss of Tony and their home.
