Bob Hubbard, age 79, died peacefully at home on March 9, 2023. A long- time resident of Rhea County, he was born December 23, 1943, in Memphis, Tennessee. Bob was a member of the Cranmore Cove Baptist Church.
He was a US Marine Corp veteran serving during the Vietnam era and also a retired Millwright. He was a member in the American Legion Post 100. Bob had varied interests. He performed in the rock-n-roll band, Rock Formation, and played various parts in the re-enactment of the Scopes Trial/Play.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin H. and Juanita Bell Hubbard; sister, Brenda Green; and brothers Donald, Ronald, Larry and Gregory Hubbard.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Hubbard of Graysville, TN; two daughters, Holli (Mike) DeAntonio, and Tonya (Bo) Lancaster; three grandsons, and six great grandchildren; brother, Charles (Lisa) Hubbard of Murfreesboro, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
Bob has always had a heart for children. He helped with the Boy Scouts, the Pathfinders, and mostly the JROTC program at Rhea County High School.

Funeral services will be held at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at 4:00 PM with Pastor Steve Reid officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Spring City Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for the JROTC program at Rhea County High School or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
