BOBBY K POE

Bobby Poe, 84, of Dayton, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.  He was a life-long resident of Sale Creek, TN and attended Sale Creek Church of God. 

He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He worked at Tennessee Trailer, Chattanooga Combustion, Flowers Bakery, and Roper Corporation.  Bobby graduated from Rockwood High School.  He was a tool-die machinist and loved telling his life stories of growing up. He was a 2nd degree black belt Karate competitor in Indiana.  He loved his adventures with his brothers, Carl, and Johnny.   

Bobby is preceded in death by his spouse, Elizabeth Blackstock Poe and parents, Alex and Ollie Lane Poe.   

He is survived by his children, Thelma Hastings, Debbie Poe, Bonnie Kay (Andy) Queen, Kenneth (Sonja) Poe, Kathy (Jody) White, Michael Poe, and Vickie Gentry; brother, Johnny Poe; sister, Thelma Gustin; grandkids, William Parman, Trisha Haggard, Katelyn Peavyhouse, Brittany Lewis, B.J. Smart, Tabitha Smart, Travis Clawson, Christy Poe, Eddie McIntosh, Sophia McIntosh, Mathew Herrera, Katelin Wilkerson, Trevon Young, and Chase Williams; great grandkids; and great great grandkids.

Pallbearers are:  Kenneth Poe, Trevon Young, Jody White, Paul Lemons, Cameron Parman, Randy Smith, Charlie Knox, and B.J. Smart.  Honorary pallbearers are:  William Pedila and Andy Queen.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 13, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Pastor John Allen officiating.  The family will receive friends at 11:00 AM until the time of the service.  Interment will follow at Spivey cemetery.
