Betty Jean Blackburn, 85, went to sleep in Jesus on January 31, 2021 at Rhea County Hospital in Dayton, Tennessee. She was a life-long member of Graysville Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Born in Charlottesville, Virginia, she attended Graysville Academy and Fletcher Academy in Henderson, North Carolina. She most loved Jesus, her church, singing, playing the piano, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul Gordon and Betty Thomas Gordon; husband, Gary Blackburn; brother, Joey Gordon and grandson, Bradley Blackburn.
She is survived by daughters, Gale Blount (John) and Tanda Stinnett (Curt); son Randy Blackburn (Dianna); sisters, Kathleen Garrison, Linda Bradshaw and Paula Bolton; brother, Dale Gordon; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial of life will be for family at a date to be determined.
