Betty Hale Obituary

Betty Ruth Hale of Dayton, TN passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Rhea Medical Center.

Betty was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and a member of Kelly Grove Baptist Church. She loved working in her yard and meeting people, and she enjoyed working crossword puzzles.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Forrest Clifford Clark and Ethel Emaline Rice Clark; her husband Jerry Thomas Hale; brother, William Clifford Clark and grandson Robert J.W. Scroggins.

She is survived by her children, Thomas Hale, Shirley (Ronnie) Scroggins, Gail Hale and Jason (Misty) Hale all of Dayton; sisters, Rebecca E. Swafford and Margie Dean Hopper of Dayton; 4 grandchildren, Jerry Joseph Scroggins, Jacob Scott Hale, Lizzie LaCole Scroggins and Haley Ruth Ann Hale all of Dayton; one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be held Sunday, July 29, 2018 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 12:00-2:00pm.

Burial will be in Buttram Cemetery.
