Betty Hardin Obituary

Betty L. Hardin, 86, of Dayton, TN passed away peacefully at her home on March 9, 2026.

Betty was born on February 20, 1940, to parents George E. Ingram and Elsie Ingram in Logansport, IN. She spent her life as a homemaker; her devotion to her family was outdone only by her love for the Lord. She was a member of New Union Baptist Church in Dayton.

Mrs. Hardin was preceded in death by husbands Alvin Nix and Edward Hardin and siblings Nancy Ingram and George Ingram.

Survivors include children David (Karen) Nix, Teri Jacob, and Kim (Tim) Poole; grandchildren Justin (Micaela) Jacob, Jennifer (Jason) Osborne, Ashley Hennessey, Zachary (Daria Sharova) Poole great grandchildren Juliette Jacob, Gabriella Jacob, Madison Osborne, Allison Osborne, Cooper Hennessey, and Karsyn Hennessey; her cat Max who she had a special affection for.

A graveside service will be held at Rainbow Memorial Gardens in Gadsden, AL on March 13, 2026 at 12 o’clock CST. The family wishes to express gratitude to Amedisys Hospice (Athens, TN) for taking wonderful care of their beloved mother.

A graveside service will be held Rainbow Memorial Gardens in Gadsden, Alabama, Friday, March 13, 2026 at 12 noon central time.
