Bill Barley, 66, a lifelong resident of Evensville, passed away peacefully at Rhea Medical Center in Dayton on January 26, 2025. He was born on September 17, 1958, to Samuel and Catherine (Couch) Barley.
Bill was a man of great character, known for his sweet and kind nature. He worked in construction as a carpenter, building a legacy of hard work and dedication. A member of the Baptist faith, he also had a deep love for fishing, which brought him peace and joy throughout his life.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Catherine Barley; his brother, Michael Wayne Barley; and his granddaughter, Haley Clabough.
He is survived by his loving wife and high school sweetheart Jeanette Barley, and his children: Jamie (Jason) Inman of Maryville, TN, Heather (Josh) Clabough of Evensville, TN, Michael R. Barley of Evensville, TN, Casey Wayne (Sarah) Barley of Evensville, TN, Christian Sherill of Evensville, TN, Jennifer Bellaray Wilson of Evensville, TN, and Tanika Benjamin of Nashville, TN. Billy is also survived by his brother, Sam Barley of Dayton, TN, and his sister, Teresa Barley of Evensville, TN. Ten Grandchildren, two great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with the Rev. Rusty Revis officiating. The family will receive friends at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Barley Cemetery.
Bill's family and friends will cherish his memory and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
