CARL DAVID CUNNINGHAM, JR.

David Cunningham, 57, passed away at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN, on May 8, 2023.  He was a very faithful believer in the Lord and attended Hickory Valley Christian Church in Chattanooga, TN.  David will be greatly missed.   

He lived in the area from birth through high school.  David joined the army (377 Hospital Unit CBT SPT), served for 6 years, and was a Sergeant when discharged.  He lived in Dayton the last 15 years. He was the owner of the business, DBA Telco Tower Venter.  He loved the Tennessee Vols, an avid golf player, loved to fly, and try new things—very adventurous, he loved people and also loved to make them laugh.  David loved KZ106 80’s music, country and classical music. 

David was preceded in death by his parents, Linda Tumlin and Carl David Cunningham, Sr.; grandparents, John and Viola McPherson; grandparents Richard Cunningham and Elizabeth Carnahan; and brother, James Arnold Tumlin.    

He is survived by his sister, Kathy (Cunningham) Revis; uncle and aunt, JC and Carrie Massey; nephews, Thomas, Evan, and Blake Revis; niece, Lauren Revis; grandnephew, Henry Revis; and grandniece, Natalie Revis.

A funeral service will be held at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Dyer officiating on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at 3:00 PM.  Interment will follow at Rigsby Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 2:00-4:00 PM.
