Coy Cleon Gravett, 59, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, in his home. Coy was a life-long resident of Rhea County and was of the Baptist faith. Coy was a former member of the Evensville Fire Department and an avid fan of Nascar, Dale Earnhardt, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Coy loved his friends and family and they sure loved Coy.
Coy was preceded in death by his father, Dewey Gravett; grandparents, Robert and Delia Barley; and Gene and Arsula Gravett.
Coy is survived his mother, JoEtta Gravett of Dayton; sister, Joy (Rick) Reed of Dayton; brothers, Dewey Dana (Tammy) Gravett of Dayton and Ernie (Candie) Gravett of Niota, TN; nieces/nephews, Justin Reed, Chris Reed, Gina Sneed, Brandon Gravett; Caden Gravett, and Delia Gravett; aunts/uncles, Norman (Naomi) Gravett, Kathryn Coulter, Barbara Gravett; Harold Hickman, Gene (Lenora) Barley, Carolyn Morris, and Jim Mayberry; and special brothers, Dale, Darryl, and David King. .
Pallbearers will be: Dale King, Darryl King, Tracy Wilkey, Scott Bishop, Brad Harrison, Justin Reed, Chris Reed, and Caden Gravett.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 1 PM in the Chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home, with Brother Donnie Hamby and Brother Aaron Revis officiating. Interment will follow at Spence Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Friday, September 15, 2023, at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home.
