Caleb "Shep" Hill Obituary

Caleb “Shep” Hill of Dayton, TN passed away December 27, 2018 at Memorial Hospital.

Shep was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and a member of Mountain View Methodist Church. He is a veteran of the US Army from WWII and a local business owner for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Porter Raulston and Iva P. Smith Hill; wife of 66 years, Virginia Jo Tucker Hill; sisters, Brenda Fisher, Lucille Cochran, Nora Cochran, Faye Fritts; brothers, Erskin and Doyle Hill and son-in-law, Larry Everett.

He is survived by his children, Rhonda (Jim) Purser of Dayton, Beverly Hicks of Dayton, Reba Everett of Pikeville, Bart (Debbie) Hill of Dayton; sisters, Wanda Scott of Sale Creek, Gail Travis of Dayton, Julie Norris of Dayton; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 3:00pm in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Purser officiating.

Family will receive friends Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 11:00am-3:00pm.

Interment will be at Buttram Cemetery.
