Carolyn Sue Chambers

Carolyn Sue Chambers of Knoxville and formerly of Dayton, TN., died on Saturday May 7, 2022 at the age of 81.  She was born October 16, 1940 on her mother’s birthday.  She was of the Methodist faith.  She was loving and  kind and had a dry sense of humor.

She started to school in Evensville, TN then graduated Rhea County High School in 1958.  She relocated to Knoxville and lived there until she retired from First Horizon Bank.  She then returned to Dayton and stayed until she became ill and returned to Knoxville to be with her sister.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her mother; Louise Chambers, and aunts; Agnes Vaughn and Jeanette Mathis.  She is survived by her sister; Patsy Marcum, nephew; Randy Marcum, uncle; Don Mathis, and cousins; Brenda Mathis Davis and Maxine Mathis Frady. 

There will be a graveside service on Thursday May 12, 2022 at 2:30PM at Rhea Memory Gardens with Rev. Heidi O. Parunak officiating. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday May 12, 2022 from 12-2 in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home.
