Charles Earl Caraway

Charles Caraway, 73, of Dayton, TN passed away at Rhea Medical Center August 28, 2021.

Mr. Caraway is preceded in death by his father Maynard Caraway; two sisters and one brother.

He is survived by three children, Shannon Rees of Dayton, Johnny Caraway of Dayton, and Kelly Smith of Pikeville, TN. He is also survived by two sisters and one brother along with eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Mr. Caraway enjoyed car clubs, trucking,  old cars,  travel, selling and trading things, collecting antiques, watching Fox News,  and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a chef during his military career; winning the banana pudding contest with his own recipe.  Charles was tough on the outside, but a softie at heart, but most of all, he was one cool cat. 

Funeral services will be Monday August 30, 2021 at 7 00p.m. in the Chapel of Coulter Garrison funeral home with Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald officiating. Family will receive friends on Monday from 5-7 PM.
