Charles Leland Elsea

Charles Leland Elsea, age 86 went to be with his Lord on Thursday Jan. 18, 2024 at Erlanger hospital. He was born in Sale Creek, TN to Vance L and Lillie Mae Sims Elsea on April 4th, 1937. He was a lifelong resident of Rhea County, had been the owner/operator of a furniture store, and was a member of Graysville United Methodist Church. He was married to Freddie McCuiston Elsea. He was preceded in death by his parents Vance and Lillie Mae Sims Elsea and two brothers, Gene Elsea and Dean Elsea.

He is survived by his wife, Freddie McCuiston Elsea, Graysville, TN.; three children, Deanna Elsea (Edward Eldridge), Graysville, TN., Steven Henderson, Graysville, TN, and Garry (Jannette) Elsea, Hixson, TN. He is also survived by two sisters, Velma (Mike) Barger, Dayton, TN and Kay Wilson, Hixson, TN, several nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite animal shelter, charity or St. Jude’s. Memorial service will be held at a later date.
