Charles Woody Obituary

Charles Leonard Woody of Evensville, TN passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN.

Charles was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and of Christian faith. He worked at Tony’s Drive- In for many years, starting when he was 16 and later became manager. He retired from La-Z-Boy Chair Co. after 18 years of employment. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Dallas Woody and Lona Edna Douglas Woody and a grandson, Brandon Michael Smith.

He is survived by his daughters, Kim (Mike) Ballard of Dayton, TN, Trena Griffith of Fort Oglethorpe, GA; sisters, Faye (Jerry) Masengale of Evensville, TN, Bertha (Norman) Holland of Dayton, TN; brother Roy Lenell Woody and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be held Friday, August 3, 2018 at 5:00pm in the Chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Pastor Mack Louallen officiating.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 3, 2018 from 2:00-5:00pm.

Interment will we in Rhea Memory Gardens.
