Charlotte Jean Carder, 76, of Dayton, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones after a brief battle with cancer. She was a long-time resident of Rhea County and worked with the Rhea County Department of Education for over 30 years.
She was born in Trenton, Ohio and was preceded in death by her parents Winfred and Helen McClain, and brothers Merrill and Gary McClain.
Charlotte was an exceptionally loving mother, sister, and Granny, and is survived by her children: Lisa Jones and Husband, David, of Kingsport, TN and Glenn Carder and wife, Courtney, of Dayton, TN; sister, Glenda Huston, of Trenton, OH; five granddaughters: Carley Carder, Lexi Carter, Mackenzie Clemens, Sidney Simpson, and Camryn Carder.
A private graveside service will be held at Woodside Cemetery in Middletown, OH.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, March 25, 2022, at the Rhea County Department of Education Levengood Educational Center, 1385 Broadway Street, Dayton, TN. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 3-5pm, followed by special prayer and remembrances of Charlotte.
