Willis “Claude” Fine, age 76, passed away at his daughter’s home on July 18, 2022, after a lengthy illness. He was born to Elige and Winnie (Sutton) Fine on April 9th, 1946, in the High Point area of Evensville. He is preceded in death by both his parents, and brother Clyde Fine.
Claude lived in Rhea County his entire life. He began his career at the Southern Silk Mill in Spring City, working as a mechanic. He later went to work in the wood room at La-z-boy, where he retired after 28 years of service. He had enjoyed retirement since 2006.
Claude is survived by his daughter, Vickey Brown (Tim) of Dayton and son, Rickey Fine (Chandra) of Spring City; siblings Thelma Couch, Raymond Fine & Audrey Watson; grandchildren Macie Brown (fiancé Phillip Hall), David Schubert (Alicia), Christian Schubert (Sammi) & Beth Schubert (fiancé Caleb Sexton); great grandchildren Marlie, Raelyn & Kacen Schubert; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 10:30 am at Pritchett Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest next to his parents. Eddie Watson, Jr. and Norman Huskey will be officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday July 21, 2022 from 5 to 7 pm at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home.
