Connie Jean Landreth, age 70, of Spring City, Tennessee, made her unexpected heavenly transition on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.
She was born on February 22, 1954 to the late William Landreth, Sr., and is survived by her mother; Mary Lee Garrison Lawrence of Spring City, TN, brothers; Bob Landreth (Ruby), Frank Landreth, and Bill Landreth (Sommai “Dang”), David (Rachel) Landreth, Kathy (Ned) Martin, and her devoted companion and friend of 40 years or more, Mary Taliaferro of Spring City and Matthew Taliaferro, who affectionately referred to Connie as “Nani,” several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and a host of children she assisted in raising from Virginia to Tennessee.
Connie worked at Rhea County High School as a teacher and a coach for 37 years before retiring in 2023. She loved basketball and was a true Tennessee Volunteer fan. You could always spot her in her orange Tennessee jacket.
There will be a funeral service for Connie on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at 2PM in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Brother John Eldridge officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 1-7PM. Interment will follow the service at Smith-Wilkey Cemetery.
Pallbearers for Connie will be; Trent, Neil, Clint, Chris, Johnny and Ronald.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Coulter Garrison Funeral home to help with burial expenses.
