Norris David "Pee Wee" Johnson, 62, a life-long resident of Dayton Tennessee, lost his battle with cancer and passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 6, 2023. He never gave up and was very courageous and strong in fighting his cancer battle for a year and a half.
He was a simple man and liked to sit on the front porch and talk to his buddies. He used to fool with game chickens before he got sick and was unable to continue with this pastime. The last two years, he liked to ride 4-wheelers. His favorite saying that he told everyone was: “Be Happy”. He will be missed greatly.
David is preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Johnson; father, Marshall Johnson; and brother, Stacey Wayne Johnson.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Ann Johnson; one daughter, Jessica (Ronnie) Minton; sister, Karen Sue Nixon (Dennis Blaylock); one brother, Ralph Johnson and family friend, Michael Turribates; and sister, Denise (Sammy) Williams; three grandchildren, Brody, Brooke, and Hunter Minton, along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be Monday, April 10, 2023, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 10, 2023, from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be at Burchard Cemetery.
