Darrell Craig McKensey

Darrell “Dipy” McKensey passed away on Thursday December 23, 2021 at CHI Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga.  He was a lifelong resident of Rhea County.  Darrell is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Ruby McKensey and brother William McKensey.

He is survived by  children Brandon and Gabriel McKensey both of Dayton; sisters: Teresa Smith of Dayton and  Karen ( Eldorado) McCauley of Atlanta,  brothers: Robert (Alfredia) McKensey and Greg Hyatt, both of Dayton, grandchildren: Stefawn McKensey, LaShawn McKensey, Jocelyn McKensey, Sencere McKensey, Ayden Bamlett, Treymane McKensey, and John David Elijah Lee McKensey, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be on Tuesday December 28, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Teresa Smith officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12 until 2pm.  Interment will be at Pinecrest Cemetery immediately following the service.
