Daryl Coulter (63) of Dayton, TN, transitioned peacefully on June 2, 2022 in his home with family by his side. Daryl Coulter was born on May 30, 1959 to Betty (Keith) Coulter and Earl Coulter at Cumberland Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. He attended George Westinghouse CTE High School and graduated in 1977. He went on to enlist in the Army. He served for two years, before entering the Army Reserves for an additional 10 years.
As a civilian, Daryl worked at Taft Youth Development Center as a Corrections Officer in Pikeville, TN for 12 years. He had a love and appreciation for culinary experiences and being around people. He worked at the local nursing home, Life Care Center of Rhea County, as a cook for 5 years. He also worked at Bryan College as a cook before becoming ill.
Daryl was most proud of being a devoted father to his son, Cordaryll, born on July 16, 2008. Daryl’s humor kept friends and family laughing. He enjoyed music and dancing with loved ones. His zeal for life will be missed but he lives on in our hearts and memories.
