Delores “Dodie” Van Winkle, age 71, of Dayton went to be with her Heavenly Father on September 26, 2022. She was a loving and caring woman of the Christian faith, was a member of Graysville Church of God, and believed all things were possible through Jesus Christ. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she will be truly missed by so many.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Adeline Harwood; husband, James Edward Van Winkle; and granddaughter, Aislinn Gabrielle Pearce.
She will be forever loved and remembered by her children, James Pearce and Norman (Heather) Pearce; brothers, Edward (Shirley) Harwood and Rev. John Allen Harwood; grandchildren, Brett Aaron Pearce, Brittany Nichole Heath, Bethany Leighann Pearce, Olivia Elina Pearce, Kirsten Ashleigh Barley, Reily Amarah Tyson, and Brayden Aine Pearce; six great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home on Thursday, September 29, 2022 in the Chapel at 2:00pm with Rev. Jimmy Talley and Rev. Terry Trussel officiating. Interment will follow at Buttram Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 12 to 2pm.
