Deloris Fern Lane

Deloris (Dee) Lane, age 89, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Life Care of Rhea County. She was born in Mt. Vernon, IL to Walter Richards and Flora Thompson Richards on June 4, 1934. She was a lifelong resident of Rhea County. Deloris was a homemaker, military wife and mother. She loved her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Lane, her mother Flora Richards/Brooks and her father Walter Richards; two sisters, Wanda and Phyllis, and three brothers Raymond Brooks, Jack Richards and Chick Richards.

Deloris is survived by three children, Debbie Lane (Frog) Riley, Michael (Debi) Lane and Jimmy (Cindi) Lane. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Angel Rievley (Chad) Defur, Amber Lane (Joe) Delph, Jennifer Lane (Alex) Shaver, Ashley Lane and Jason (Kelli) Lane; fifteen great grandchildren with one on the way and many nieces and nephews.

We want to make special mention to good friends Betty Ruth Seera, Robin Wright, and many others who visited her. Thank you to Life Care of Rhea County and Amedisys Hospice.

Visitation will be Friday, January 26, from 3:00-5:00 PM. A Memorial Service will be held following visitation at 5:00 PM at the Chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Joe Delph officiating.
