Donald Lynn Shaver

   Lynn Shaver of Dayton, passed away Friday, October 9, 2020 at his home with his family around him. He was a lifetime resident of Rhea Co., and a member of New Union Baptist Church. Lynn always loved tractors and hot-rod vehicles and could build or repair the best of them ! Having worked numerous positions, he retired from TVA. He was loved by all who met him, but especially his grandchildren. He wanted them to always love and take care of themselves and each other.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leland and Katholeen Shaver, five brothers Ray, Edwin, Dean, Alvin and Jimmy Shaver.

Lynn is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda Jane Masengale Shaver, two sons Darren (jyl) Shaver  Crossville, Tn., Leslie (Dana) Shaver, of Dayton, Tn., seven grandchildren, Macy, Harley, Gavin, and Carson Shaver, Emily Smith and Walker Norris, one great granddaughter, Ava Rose Norris,  two sisters Fay (Bill) Bishop of California and Linda Hinds of Dayton, Tn.

 Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 pm, October 11, 2020 at New Union Baptist Church.with Dr. Danny Ruehling  and Pastor Jeremy Deal officiating The family will receive friends from12:30 till 2:30 pm at New Union Baptist Church. Interment will be in Shaver Cemetery.
