Donna Jean (Jones) Gentry

Mrs. Donna Jones Gentry, 79, of Dayton, TN passed on to her heavenly home on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. Born March 20, 1944 to Denver and Doris Jones in Harlan, KY. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Dayton. Mrs. Gentry did not have an evil bone in her body – she never criticized anyone. She was a perfect, loving wife and mother who loved shopping at Hobby Lobby, going to Pigeon Forge, and Christmas time. Donna was greatly loved and will be missed by everyone.

Mrs. Gentry is preceded in death by her parents Denver and Doris Jones; brothers Johnny and Robert Jones; sister Phylis Jones; and grandchildren Rachel and Toni Erin Wilson.

Donna is survived by her husband, of 61 years, Leslie Gentry of Dayton, TN; her children Teressa (Steve) Wilson, Rodney Gentry, John (Vanessa) Gentry, and Tara (Eddie) Lewis; her grandchildren Christina and Garrett Gentry; her great grandchildren Peyton and Hannah, Gracie, Bella Marler, Blake (Chyanne) and Brett (Sam) McCuiston; great great grandchildren Aubree Batt, Brook McCuiston and Kadrian Merritt, Draven and Dessie Wilson, and Dixie Elkins; sister and brother in law Dewey and Patsi Wallace; brother in law Pat (Molly) Gentry; and brother in law Chris (Lois) Hoose.

Funeral service will be held at 10 AM Saturday, December 23, 2023 in the chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with Dr. Curtis Sayre officiating. Burial will follow at Rhea Memory. The family will receive friends from 4 until 7PM on Friday, December 22, 2023.
