Doris (Galloway) Bell

Doris Bell, 83, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024 at Golden Years Retirement Resort in Spring City, TN.  She was a lifelong resident of Rhea County born June 28, 1941 to Allen and Arkie Galloway in Grandview, TN. She attended Burdette Baptist Church.  Doris was very artistic. She loved painting and doing crafts. Doris enjoyed going to the senior center and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, JR Bell; parents, Allen and Arkie Galloway; two brothers, Vance and Gary Galloway; and two sisters, Edna Wiggins and Brenda Walker.

Doris is survived by her son, Darrell Bell (Kathy) of Dayton, TN; one grandchild, Eric Bell (Tymri); two great-grandchildren, Kelsie and Bailen Bell; two sisters, Bonnie (Alfred) Reed of Grandview, TN, Debbie (Steve) Curtin of Dayton, TN; and one brother, Alvin (Bonnie) Galloway of Grandview, TN; along with several nieces and nephews.   

Funeral service for Mrs. Bell will be Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 2PM in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Bell officiating.  Interment will immediately follow the service at Spring City Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12 until the start of the service.
